President’s Report
The 2018 annual PABUG conference took place on November 18-20, 2018 in Harrisburg, PA. This was the organizations 19th annual conference and a total of 422 attendees participated in the three day conference. The event included a Sunday pre-conference workshop facilitated by Ellucian on Banner Extensibility, and a Sunday night Meet & Greet event.
A major change for the PABUG this year was moving the location of the conference to the Red Lion Hotel in Harrisburg, PA. The move was a huge undertaking for the entire conference planning committee, and required multiple trips to evaluate the facility, meet the staff, and plan the event. The change in venue allowed PABUG an opportunity to move into a larger facility while maintaining the mission to keep PABUG a cost-effective conference.
During the annual conference, PABUG also recognized an Emeriti Award Recipient. Emeriti awards recognize individuals who have dedicated countless voluntary hours to the organization over the course of several years. Congratulations to Rhoni Ryan from Swarthmore College who received this year’s Emeriti Award.
On May 23, 2018 La Salle University hosted an Argos Mini-Live event. The one day conference had 45 attendees from 10 institutions. Other events in 2018 included a presentation at Ellucian Live in April 2018, and the Officers and Track Leaders retreat in October 2018.
Thank you to our Officers, Special Resources, Track Leaders, Ellucian and all of our Vendors for making 2018 a great year for PABUG.
PABUG would like to sincerely thank our vendors for their support!
